Terms of use — the short version, in plain English

Private Tours London is a free, independent guide. We compare tours; we don’t sell or run them. These terms explain what you can rely on us for and what’s between you and the booking platform.

  • Updated
  • Prices and ratings checked 21 Oct 2026; they change daily.
  • Partner links

We earn a commission when you book through some links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never decides our verdicts.

Who we are

These terms apply to private-tours.london (“the site”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use the site. Questions go to contact@private-tours.london.

What the site does

We publish comparisons, prices and opinions about tours in and around London sold on GetYourGuide, Headout and Tiqets. We are not a tour operator, travel agent or booking platform. We don’t sell tours, take payments or hold bookings, and we have no connection with Transport for London, Historic Royal Palaces, the Royal Collection or any attraction we mention.

Prices, ratings and availability

Prices, ratings and review counts come from the platforms’ partner feeds and are refreshed about once a day. Each page shows when they were last checked. They can change at any time and depend on your date, time, group size and currency. The price and terms shown on the booking platform at checkout are the ones that apply. We do our best to keep everything accurate, but we can’t guarantee that a tour is available, that a price is still current, or that an operator hasn’t changed its route, duration or inclusions since we checked.

Bookings

When you follow a link and book, your contract is with the platform and, through it, the tour operator — not with us. Their terms, cancellation policies and customer service apply. We can’t change, cancel or refund bookings, or resolve problems with a tour on the day; contact the platform you booked with.

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you book through them, the platform pays us a commission. You pay the same price as you would going to the platform directly. Commission doesn’t decide our verdicts or rankings; see how we compare tours.

Our opinions

Verdicts, “skip it if” notes and recommendations are our honest editorial opinion, based on the information available when we wrote them. They are general guidance, not advice tailored to your circumstances. Check accessibility, age limits, health requirements and anything else that matters to you with the operator before you book.

Using our content

The text, comparisons, calculator and design of the site are ours. You’re welcome to link to any page and to quote short extracts with a link back. Please don’t copy whole pages, republish our price tables or scrape the site. Tour names, photos and logos belong to their owners.

We link to platforms, operators and official sources. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Liability

We provide the site free of charge and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from relying on information that has since changed, or from a tour or booking made with a third party. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under English law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
